Loan Officer/Senior Lending Consultant
OVERVIEW
Union Pacific Streamliner Federal Credit Union (UPSFCU) is seeking a dynamic individual to join our credit union to serve as a Loan Officer (Member Concierge II). This position is responsible for assisting the Consumer Lending Manager in managing the daily and strategic activities of the Credit Union’s Lending Department, documenting best practices and compliance with lending department, credit union, state and federal policies, procedures, regulations and laws. UPSFCU is a financial cooperative based in Omaha, NE with membership open to employees of Union Pacific Railroad and their families.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lending Services responsibilities include processing consumer and home-equity loan applications, securing signatures to protect any liens, notes and security agreements and complete all required paperwork and documentation with a high degree of accuracy. Coordinate accounting reconciliation of loan fees collected and conduct audits of member loan files and lending general ledger accounts.
Collection Management responsibilities include collection activities as assigned by the Consumer Lending Manager and CEO which may encompass processing correspondence for collections department, maintaining collection files according to department procedures and generate activity reports.
Loan Officer responsibilities include gaining a thorough knowledge of Credit Union lending policies, product pricing (interest rates, dividend rates, fees) and be capable of discussing all loan alternatives and financial products and services with members. Additionally, will need to be comfortable in interviewing loan applicants, processing loan information, preparing necessary documents and conducting loan closings and disbursals according to Credit Union policies and procedures, while securing all documents and signatures to protect any liens, notes and security agreements
Member Service responsibilities include process daily financial transactions (i.e. deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, advances, money orders, etc.) in an accurate and efficient manner, and handle member inquiries regarding accounts, statements, transaction history, Credit Union products and services.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills, including a proven ability to ask questions that solicit information.
• Demonstrated experience in evaluating consumer credit reports, analyzing loan applications and providing underwriting recommendations.
• Comfortable with working in a sales & service culture; willingness to cross-sell credit union products and services; can effectively prospect new business.
• Ability to perform in a fast paced, team-oriented environment with multiple interruptions.
• Self-starter, motivated to be a part of the sales and services team; as well as being able to work independently.
• Ability to handle problem solving, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong motivation to provide quality customer service to members and public.
• Regular and predictable attendance is a required essential function of the job.
• Have or be able to acquire an NMLS Number
• Have or be able to be a Notary Public.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of industry specific software, industry specific systems and other web-based software programs, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
